I am always up for an adventure. I’ve bungee jumped in New Zealand. I’ve climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I’ve set my fantasy football lineup after two glasses of wine. And I’m constantly on the lookout for places to travel, foods to devour, trails to wander, and people to get to know (preferably over a cup of coffee).
I approach writing the way I approach new experiences: I go all in. Whether it’s a guide to gluten free eats in San Francisco or an essay on getting lost in Napa, I become fully immersed in my work. I like experimenting with new words, new styles, and new ways to turn a phrase, and I’m a stickler for details and deadlines. (I anchored my track team’s 3200 meter relay in high school, so I know how to hustle.)
My writing has appeared in WHERE, AFAR, and BlackboardEats, among other places. I spent two-and-a-half years as copywriter for Serena & Lily, where I penned everything from subject lines to landing pages. Currently, I'm working on my first screenplay in collaboration with an independent production company.
For me, the blank page evokes the same excitement as an open runway–a mixture of fear and anticipation, restlessness and hope. Because behind the cursor, beyond the horizon, waits a world of possibilities. And I might be just brave enough to venture into the unknown.
